untitled – annita maslov

there have been many visual moths of late. i suppose it’s simply much easier seeing than dealing with moths via the other senses. hearing, tasting, feeling, smelling and the other less conventional ones seem much less suited, mainly because people might think you were insane or it would be just plain disgusting. in saying that i’ll make more of an effort to find moths of other media because insanity and disgust are great to work with.

so anyway. stumbled upon annita maslov’s work which to my unrefined eyes, is a something between tattoo art and audrey kawasaki’s stuff. which when i break this down further i find that the boldness of tattoo art (lines, shapes) and the feminine qualities of artists such as kawasaki (colours, expressions) is what i mean. it’s quite nice. there are other illustrations which include moths here.
